With a long history of assisting SMEs and entrepreneurs, the Clean Energy group provides focussed R&D support, as well as technology assessment and validation. The Clean Energy group at Tech Futures provides unique technology risk management services to industry. By offering a deep understanding of the clean energy “big picture”, as well as hands-on experience in the lab and at pilot test sites, Tech Futures can help you meet your challenges by providing some of the strongest expertise in the province in a disciplined and project oriented fashion.
Tech Futures’ technology development programs are precisely targeted to support future achievement of Alberta’s Climate Change Strategy. Focussed on technology leadership that would not otherwise happen, Tech Futures’ work complements the work of the private sector by reaching beyond some of the techno-economic barriers. Tech Futures is also working to solve very specific challenges in carbon capture, concentrating solar thermal energy, synthesis gas utilization, electric power integration, biogas upgrading and energy genomics. In all cases, our aim is technology readiness for product development by the private sector: our contribution is technology risk reduction in a tightly controlled framework.
The Climate Change Strategy represents an enormous challenge. Let’s work on it together. Contact us to find out where our extensive capability intersects with your commercial goals.
