Experienced in leading organizational restructuring, business turn-arounds and profitable growth commercial developments, Stephen understands the needs of small, medium and large businesses and the challenges of many of Alberta’s primary industries.
Three companies led by Stephen have been recognized with Alberta Science and Technology (ASTech) Leadership Foundation Awards for commercial achievement and, in 2010, Stephen received a personal ASTech Award for his contributions to the Science and Technology community of Alberta.
Sought after as a business strategist, Stephen has served as an executive advisor to many organizations and is engaged on a number of boards. Highly entrepreneurial, Stephen most recently held leadership positions as: Director and Executive Chairman of Poynt Corporation (2004 – 2011); and, CEO and President, and then Board Chair of Sylogist Ltd. (2002 – 2006). Previous executive positions have included: Petroleum Division President and Corporate Executive Vice President, QC Data International Ltd.; Executive Vice President, BW Technologies Ltd.; and, Director Business Development, Office of the Chairman, ATCO Group of Companies.
Stephen has an MBA from the International Management Institute (IMI) in association with the University of Geneva, Switzerland and a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree from Queens University, Kingston, Ontario.
